The teaser of the Marathi film, Ek Albela, which has caught the fascination of the audiences

It gives a glimpse into the extraordinary journey of a common man -Bhagwan Dada, who dreamt of becoming big from his small one-room tenement in Mumbai and realized his ambition of becoming one of the most celebrated names in Indian cinema.
The trailer has received 4 lakh views within four days of its launch and the numbers are growing.
Produced by Dr Monish Babre for Kimaya Motion Pictures and directed by Shekhar Sartandel, Mangalmurti Films’ Ek Albela features award winning versatile actor Mangesh Desai as Bhagwan Dada and powerhouse performer Vidya Balan portraying the role of renowned yesteryear actress Geeta Bali in her debut Marathi movie.
It is the first Marathi biopic on a celebrated Hindi actor, who captured the attention of the audiences with his creative song and dance moves and his mannerisms.
• It will see actress Vidya Balan, making her debut in Marathi films in the role of Geeta Bali.
• The biopic that explores the era between 1930 to 1951 has several dialogues in Hindi and also has two Hindi songs from the original film.
• Award-winning actor Mangesh Desai, who has portrayed the character of Bhagwan Dada, is known to be a method actor, who works on his characters in great detail. In this particular case, he watched the original Albela at least 20 times, before he could get Bhagwan Dada’s character and mannerisms right.
• Well-known make-up artist, Vidyadhar Bhatte, who was specially roped in for the film, has done a brilliant job in transforming Mangesh Desai into Bhagwan Dada, who was a favourite of the audiences.
• The film has five foot-tapping numbers and Bhagwan Dada’s popular songs and his trademark dance moves will be among the highlights of the film.
The entertaining fare which will capture the behind the scenes story of Bhagwan Dada and his livewire performance on screen, will invariably have a huge commercial draw. Vidya Balan’s presence in the film, will further accentuate its box-office appeal.
