A. The unusual title of the film has been derived from its three principal characters who get deeply affected by the crime that leads them to act and unravel the mystery.
B. The film has three powerhouse performers in Amitabh Bachchan,Vidya Balan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who have distinct characterizations. It is also the first time that Bachchan will be seen sharing screen space with Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
C. Vidya Balan will be seen in the special appearance of a cop in the film, which marks the second coming together of the actress with Nawazuddin and producer Sujoy Ghosh, with whom she last worked in Kahaani.
D. Big B’s role in the film of a distressed grandfather and his relentless quest for justice will be something to watch out for. The 73-year old veteran, who took the streets of Kolkata on a bicycle for his award-winning role in Shoojit Sircar’s Piku, will be seen riding a scooter this time in the City of Joy.
E. The film is expected to showcase the state of West Bengal like never before. It is also the first time that Bengal tourism would get officially promoted through a movie. While there have been several films in recent times that have been shot in the vibrant city of Kolkata, including Shoojit Sircar’s award-winning Piku, the vibrancy of the city of joy was best brought to life in the 2012 mystery thriller, Kahaani.
Sujoy Ghosh had last left an imprint on the minds of the audiences in the Vidya Balan starrer Kahaani, which did record business. The master story teller is back as a creative producer this time. The film is also one to watch out for the stellar performances of Big B and Nawazuddin Siddiqui and also the best places in West Bengal that have never been witnessed on screen before.
