He is a top producer in the south and he has a great insight into the process of film- making. We were in talks with him since the past many weeks. He was very convinced that this was the kind of film he wanted to make in the south, particularly Tamil and Telugu. He’s completely aware of all the nuances of the film too. This film will also mark Zee Studio-Essel Vision’s foray into the south industry.” When contacted Rockline Venkatesh confirmed the news, “We would be partnering the making of the film in four languages-Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malyalam.” Venkatesh recalls how he was impressed when he saw the film for the first time, “It was a memorable film from the word go. I was amazed about how the story unfolded and a relatively new cast had given some of the best performances in the film.” Like the original, Venkatesh is planning to cast fresh faces for the film. According to both Venkatesh and Keni, the budget of the film will be formidable. Meanwhile Sairat has now acquired the distinction of being the biggest grosser in any language in Maharashtra.
